Installation ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Installing Kaspersky Anti-Virus using a web browser: 1. Copy the installation database KAVInstaller.nsf to the data directory of the Lotus Domino server. 2. Check the database KAVInstaller.nsf for integrity using the command load fixup KAVInstaller.nsf. 3. Adjust the privileges of the installation server on the Security tab of the server document in the address book of the Lotus Domino server (the server should have privileges to use the remote console of the Lotus Domino server, apply unrestricted methods and operations, create databases and database templates, and create database replicas). 4. Sign the installation database with the account of the server to which the application is to be installed. 5. Open a web browser. 6. Enter the following text in the address line: http:///?OpenDatabase&Login. 7. Follow the instructions of the Installation Wizard to install the application. 8. Restart the Lotus Domino server. After restarting the Lotus Domino server, it is recommended that you update the anti-virus databases of the application by executing the command tell kavcontrol start kavupdater. Installing Kaspersky Anti-Virus using the Lotus Notes client: 1. 5. Adjust the security settings of the Lotus Domino client (the action management table) on the workstation from which connection to the server will be established. 6. Run the Lotus Notes client. 7. Open the installation database located in the data directory of the installation server. 8. Follow the instructions of the Installation Wizard to install the application. 9. Restart the Lotus Domino server. After restarting the Lotus Domino server, it is recommended that you update the anti-virus databases of the application by executing the command tell kavcontrol start kavupdater. Known issues and solutions ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1. No disinfection is applied to OLE objects. If a threat is detected in an OLE object, Kaspersky Anti-Virus deletes infected OLE objects. 2. If the document attachment is an archive containing non-infected objects and infected objects that cannot be disinfected, that archive will be completely deleted during disinfection. 3. When installing the application on Linux operating systems, the operating system version is displayed improperly. 4. When using the application under Microsoft Windows® operating systems, you should put the path to the key file into brackets if the path contains white spaces. For example: "x:\\\key file.key" 5. After the application installation to the additional server is completed, the administrator should make sure that creation of replicas of Kaspersky Anti-Virus databases on the additional server is successfully completed; only after that, the administrator can restart the server. Migration from an earlier version of the product ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- To import the settings of Kaspersky Anti-Virus from an earlier version of the product, you should use the utility named KAVMigrate. Using KAVMigrate export/import utility when migrating Kaspersky Anti-Virus to the new version of the product: 1. Copy KAVMigrate utility to the directory that contains the binary files of the application. a. For Microsoft Windows operating systems, binary files are stored by default in the directory named C:\Program Files\Lotus\Domino. b. For Linux operating systems, binary files are stored by default in the directory named /local/notesdata/. Warning! In Linux operating systems, you should first allow the execution of the file copied. 2. In the console of the Lotus Domino server, run KAVMigrate utility with a settings export key, using one or several data category keys. To do this, enter the command load kavmigrate.exe (for Microsoft Windows operating systems), or load kavmigrate.bin (for Linux operating systems). For example: load kavmigrate.exe –c qsc –e backup1 This command exports all the data categories (Quarantine database, Event log and statistics database, application settings) to a file named backup1. 3. Remove the earlier version of the application. If you use the distributed deployment scheme, Kaspersky Anti-Virus should be removed from all the servers included in the configuration. 4. Install the new version of the application. If you use the distributed deployment scheme, the new version of Kaspersky Anti-Virus should be installed to all the servers included in the configuration. 5. Import the settings that have been saved in the file backup1 (Step 2), to the newly installed version of the application. To do this, in the console of the Lotus Domino server run the KAVMigrate utility with a settings import key, using one or several data category keys. For example: load kavmigrate.exe –c qsc –i backup1 This command imports all the data categories (Quarantine database, Event log and statistics database, application settings) from the file backup1. Warning! The account of the user running the KAVMigrate utility should have privileges for writing in Kaspersky Anti-Virus databases. Command syntax: load kavmigrate.exe(bin) –c - Data category keys: Key Value q Include data from Quarantine database into export (import). s Include data from Event log and statistics database into export (import). c Include server settings into export (import). Keys for utility operation mode management: Key Value i Run utility in settings import mode. e Run utility in settings export mode.
