WHAT'S NEW compared to Kaspersky Anti-Virus 5.5 for Check Point™ FireWall-1® (build 5.5.145.0)

This update introduces the following changes:

- Error causing anti-virus kernel freezes has been fixed.
- Problem with product installation on computers running Japanese and Chinese localized versions 
  of the Microsoft Windows operating system has been resolved.
- The folder containing application work files is created by default in the All Users profile.

DESCRIPTION

Kaspersky Anti-Virus 5.5 for Check Point™ FireWall-1® (hereinafter referred to as
Kaspersky Anti-Virus or application) is intended to ensure anti-virus monitoring
of objects passing through Check Point™ FireWall-1® via HTTP, FTP and SMTP protocols.
Integration of the application with Check Point™ FireWall-1® is performed using
CVP, AMON and ELA protocols. Kaspersky Anti-Virus is compatible with
Check Point™ FireWall-1® versions NG, NG AI and NGX.

INSTALLATION

Minimum hardware and software requirements:

For the Security Server component:
- Hardware requirements:
    - Intel Pentium II 300 MHz or higher;
    - about 512 MB free RAM;
    - about 20 MB of free disk space for the application installation
      (not counting the size of the backup storage and other service folders);
    - at least 1 GB of free disk space for temporary storage of data
      before the anti-virus scan and for the backup files storage.
- Software requirements:
    - Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional with Service Pack 4 or higher installed;
    - Microsoft Windows XP Professional Edition with Service Pack 2 or higher installed;
    - Microsoft Windows 2000 Server with Service Pack 4 or higher installed;
    - Microsoft Windows 2000 Advanced Server with Service Pack 4 or higher installed;
    - Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition or higher;
    - Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Edition or higher.

For the Management Console component:
- Hardware requirements:
    - Intel Pentium II 300 MHz or higher;
    - 256 MB RAM;
    - 10 MB free disk space.
- Software requirements:
    - Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional with Service Pack 4 or higher installed;
    - Microsoft Windows XP Professional Edition with Service Pack 2 or higher installed;
    - Microsoft Windows 2000 Server with Service Pack 4 or higher installed;
    - Microsoft Windows 2000 Advanced Server with Service Pack 4 or higher installed;
    - Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition or higher;
    - Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Edition or higher.

You must have administrator’s rights at the local computer in order to install Kaspersky Anti-Virus.

UPGRADE OF PREVIOUS APPLICATION VERSIONS

Build 5.5.161.0 can be installed over earlier application builds 5.5.114.0 or 5.5.145.0 preserving 
the product configuration. To do that, you should cancel removal of application registration data 
during its installation.
