Brief application functionality overview -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Kaspersky Anti-Virus 8.0 for Microsoft ISA Server and Forefront TMG Standard Edition ensures safe work with traffic passing through a firewall. The application automatically blocks malicious and potentially dangerous objects from data streams in HTTP, FTP, SMTP, and POP3 protocols. Kaspersky Anti-Virus 8.0 for Microsoft ISA Server and Forefront TMG Standard Edition allows performing the following actions: 1. Scan inbound and published traffic in HTTP and FTP protocols for malicious objects. 2. Scan inbound and outbound traffic in SMTP ? POP3 protocols for malicious objects. 3. Flexibly adjust the rules of traffic processing and virus scan using policies. 4. Save backup copies of objects before they are disinfected or blocked in Backup, which rules out the risk of data loss. 5. Notify a recipient of objects or messages, warning him or her of malicious objects contained in them. 6. Notify an administrator of malicious objects, troubles encountered, and other events, by means of the notification service of Microsoft ISA Server or Forefront TMG. 7. Maintain event logs, collect statistics and create regular reports on the application activity. 8. Configure application settings depending on the intensity and the nature of the traffic. 9. Existing limitations -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- *The application does not support the update from the previous version (Kaspersky Anti-Virus 5.6 for Microsoft ISA Server 2004/2006 Standard Edition). When updating, you should remove the previous version of the application and install the new one. *When renaming the server, on which Kaspersky Anti-Virus is installed, Anti-Virus may become inoperable. To restore the operability of Kaspersky Anti-Virus, restart the installer or click the "Change/Remove" button in the "Add or Remove Programs" snap-in. *If a suspicious object is detected in an email message, the application adds the corresponding warning text into the subject of this message even if the blocking of suspicious objects is disabled by means of policies. *The application does not support update from the RC version (build 8.0.3239) to the current version. When updating, you should remove the previous version of the application and install the new one.
